It is the start of a brand new year (hope you all had an
awesome holiday season). January is the
month of spoiling yourself. You got gift
cards or money for Christmas, or, like me, you use the January sales as an
excuse to buy loads of stuff you can’t really afford and don’t really need. Here is a list of January new releases I will
be adding to my bulging book shelf.

Why I want to read it
Ok so the truth is that I am not all that sure about this one. I have had a rocky relationship with shape shifter based books in the past and find myself disappointed in them more often than not, but for some reason I have hope that the 'one' will come along and maybe the Darkest Fear will be it. I love the cover and it does sound interesting so my fingers are firmly crossed.

I love the sound of this one. Historical fiction that features witches, ghouls, hell hounds, the underworld and of course ballrooms what could possibly go wrong? Ok, so honestly this has the potential to be a bit of a hot mess but it also could be a hell of a lot of fun. I have high hopes for this one and can't wait to get my hands on it.

The whole boarding school for the world's wealthiest teen's thing is normally enough to make me completely ignore a book, I do not want to read about snobby teens. But I really like mysteries and this sounds a little spooky so I am going to check this one out and hope for the best.

This is another one that will either be amazing or a bit of a disappointment. I really like the idea it sounds different and original but might be a little too romance heavy for me. Comparisons have been drawn between this and Inception which is enough for me to add it to my wish list.

It sounds complex, serious and imaginative. I really love it when YA fiction asks big questions and I am hoping that is what I am going to get from this. It also sounds interesting and exciting, this is exactly the kind of book I like to read and I can't wait to get stuck in.

Science Fiction is my thing, so this is the easily the January release I am most looking forward to. It sounds really exciting and I think I will fall in love with it.

I love the sound of this one. Historical fiction that features witches, ghouls, hell hounds, the underworld and of course ballrooms what could possibly go wrong? Ok, so honestly this has the potential to be a bit of a hot mess but it also could be a hell of a lot of fun. I have high hopes for this one and can't wait to get my hands on it.
